Your health app is now compatible with the Apple Watch, thanks to ROOK

ROOK can integrate health data from the Apple Watch and Apple Health, so apps don't need to ask users to buy another device.

Data Source Integrations

Since December 2023, ROOK can integrate health data from the Apple Watch and Apple Health into client apps. ROOK clients can use data from a device many people already wear, without asking users to buy additional hardware. That matters most for insurance tech and other non-fitness apps, because many Apple Watch owners use it as a lifestyle device rather than a fitness tracker.

The Apple Watch integration gives ROOK’s existing and future clients access to a large pool of data, because the Apple Watch is used by dedicated athletes, by people who work out occasionally, and by people who wear it as a lifestyle device.

With Apple Watch data available through ROOK’s integration, clients don’t have to ask their users to purchase an additional device to collect the data they need, especially if the app is in insurance tech or another sector that doesn’t necessarily deal with fitness.

ROOK’s mission is to help insurance tech, health tech, and fitness apps encourage their users to reach higher levels of health. For the SDK that reads Apple Health data, see ROOK’s Apple Health and Health Connect SDKs, or start with the ROOK developer documentation.
