InterSystems and ROOK partner on FHIR wearable data

ROOK and InterSystems signed a solution partnership agreement on July 16, 2024. Under the agreement, ROOK injects wearable data into InterSystems IRIS for Health™, where it becomes FHIR-compliant so that Electronic Health Records (EHRs), medical records and other healthcare services can exchange it. ROOK also received an InterSystems grant and joined the Caelestinus HealthTech Incubator.

Miami, FL - July 16, 2024 - ROOK, a provider of wearable health data APIs, announces the signing of a solution partnership agreement with InterSystems, a data technology provider focused on scalability, interoperability and speed challenges for its customers. The collaboration aims to give healthcare providers more comprehensive patient insights and streamline data interoperability across the healthcare space.

ROOK brings wearable data access: its API, available at tryrook.io, lets software developers and healthcare organizations retrieve health metrics from many wearables and data sources through a single API. ROOK integrates, processes and standardizes that data from 72 data sources and more than 500 devices so healthcare teams can use it in their own care workflows.

ROOK injects wearable data into InterSystems IRIS for Health™, where the information becomes FHIR-compliant. This integration lets EHRs, medical records and other healthcare services exchange wearable data in a common standard. ROOK moves and standardizes the data; it does not diagnose or replace clinical judgment.
