Rebranding Announcement: RookMotion is Now ROOK
We’re excited to announce the rebrand of RookMotion to ROOK, an updated brand identity that encapsulates and communicates who we are, what we do, and our vision for the future.
Why ROOK Rebranded
Over the years, we’ve evolved from a fitness-focused, hardware-based company to so much more—and it’s time for our branding to follow suit.
Founded in 2018 by biomedical engineers, ROOK has always sought ways to bring about a healthier world with a connection to data at the core of our solutions.
That isn’t changing.
But the introduction of our API took us from simply connecting users with their gyms to connecting companies with the health data they need to personalize interactions, pinpoint new opportunities, and pioneer breakthroughs. As we focused on this API and the possibilities presented by our ability to aggregate and transform health data, we knew we needed a chance to re-introduce ourselves and convey who we are today.
ROOK’s rebrand reflects our current innovations and our ongoing growth as a company.
ROOK’s New Name, Logo, and Look
ROOK began as a heart rate monitoring system for live and remote workouts, connecting coaches and gyms with their users. Both the “Motion” part of our previous name (RookMotion) and our original electrocardiogram-inspired logo are rooted in these beginnings.
As we introduced our API and the health data analysis that went with it, we began solving problems that went beyond the fitness world into healthcare, insurance, wellness, gaming, and more. This evolution prompted the shortening of our name to ROOK to better encompass all aspects of possibility provided by our data and insight offerings.
In the same way, we’ve introduced a more modern logo that better represents ROOK as the B2B SaaS company it is today– with interconnected Os that reference the exchange and transformation of data as well as a visualization of collected and changing data points in our logomark.
We also opted to employ a bolder, more engaging use of design elements.
Our new color palette utilizes bright colors and contrasting combinations that draw the eye in order to express the dynamic nature and disruptive potential of ROOK. It’s vibrant, unapologetic, forward-moving, and empowering–without sacrificing clarity.

At the heart of our rebrand is a drive to shine a light on our API and the potential it unlocks. We listened to our customers, saw the problems we helped them solve, and knew we needed to spotlight it all on our website so that we could help even more people discover, build, and achieve with ROOK.
